Session description
This is a live build on stage. You will watch ideas turned into working tools in front of you with Lovable start to finish.
We'll take a brief from the room and build two things that live in Lovable: a website you could hand to a client or speaker, and an internal tool your team could actually use day to day. You'll see exactly how it's built, what's safe to ship and what needs a second look, and leave with a prompt you can use to start your own
Alongside the live build, we will aim to show other examples made by people in the events industry such as an onboarding hub that replaces a shared folder of PDFs, an RFP tool that drafts a first response for you, a speaker management platform
There will also be a live audience questions by QR code, and live polling in the presentation
What attendees leave with
A starter prompt they can use in any tool to interview themselves and produce their own first build brief: activity sheet by QR code tbc
A clear sense of what is safe to build, and where the limits are
A handful of real, simple examples they can copy for their own events
Speaker
Lucy Postlethwaite is the founder of Practical AI, AI training and consultancy. She's spent 14+ years inside agency teams, so she knows how they operate and teaches from the inside, covering the fundamentals most teams never get access to, through to strategy, repeatable workflows, automations and agents.
Lucy is hands-on with the build tools too, working in Canva AI and Lovable for her own business and for event clients, and has hosted live hackathons putting that into practice with teams on the day.
She led an AI activation for senior CMOs at Salesforce's Dreamforce, worked on the Anthropic CEO Forum, was judge for the Event Tech Awards, AI Edition and runs her own online bootcamps and workshops for event industry professionals.
Her approach: AI sits inside the work, not on top of it.
