Your next visitor, exhibitor or sponsor may be asking AI about your event before they ever reach your website. But what is AI actually telling them - and is it helping them choose you or a competitor?
Drawing on real examples from the events industry, we'll explore how AI is changing event discovery, why even established events can be poorly represented, and the practical steps organisers can take to improve their visibility.
You'll leave knowing what to test, what to look for and where to start.
Speaker
Jon Monk is Head of Performance at ASP, the event website platform. He has spent 13 years in search and now focuses on a question most organisers have never asked: what do ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity actually say about their event?
Jon tests what AI tells buyers about real events, from dates and venues to whether a show is worth exhibiting at. He measures how often events are mentioned, missed or replaced by a competitor, then turns those findings into practical fixes that organisers can make with content they already have.
An engineer by training, with a first-class degree in Environmental Engineering, Jon brings a test first approach to a field full of guesswork. Since joining ASP in 2022, he has helped organisers move from one off website launches to continuous improvement across search, AI visibility and conversion.
