Workshop Workshop
Register to attend Open in live agenda View full agendaEvent professionals work with enormous amounts of data, but turning that data into useful, interactive digital tools can feel out of reach without technical expertise. Generative AI is changing that.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to use an LLM such as ChatGPT to transform everyday event data into an interactive web experience without needing to know how to code.
Working from a supplied dataset, participants will use conversational prompting to create an interactive event agenda with search and filtering functionality. They will connect the experience to data stored in Google Sheets and publish it online using GitHub.
The agenda is the starting point. Participants will see how the same approach can be applied to other event ideas, from interactive games and engagement tools to new ways for delegates to explore event information.
The focus is not on learning code, but on learning a new way to build: describe what you want, work with AI to create it, test the result, identify what needs improvement and refine it. Participants will leave with a working digital experience and a practical framework they can use to bring their own ideas to life.
Before the workshop: Participants should be familiar with an LLM such as ChatGPT; a paid account is recommended due to usage limits. Participants will need a Google account with access to Google Sheets and a free GitHub account set up in advance. No previous GitHub or coding experience is required. Everything needed for the workshop will be demonstrated.
