Run + walk with Brella
Start Event Tech Live with a 5K run or a 2K walk along Royal Victoria Dock, meet a few people before the doors open and be back at Excel London in plenty of time for the show.
Something new for 2026
For years people have asked us if there was a way to meet others in the industry while doing something active, so this year we're giving it a go, and we've teamed up with the Brella team to host it.
It's a relaxed morning out along the dock rather than a race, so there are no bibs, no timings and no podium, just a bit of fresh air and conversations with people you might not otherwise bump into on the show floor.
Two laps of the measured Victoria Dock parkrun course, along the flat north quay to a turnaround past the middle of Excel and back. We'll go at an easy pace of around 6 minutes per kilometre, which is quick enough to wake you up and slow enough to hold a proper conversation.
One lap of the same path, turning a little earlier, so it comes in at about 2K. The route is flat and step-free, so wheelchairs and buggies are welcome, and you get the same views with more time to chat.
Both groups set off together from The Crystal and finish there within a few minutes of each other, so nobody is left waiting around.

Your hosts
Brella builds event apps and AI matchmaking for organisers, along with the technology behind fully managed hosted buyer programmes, so getting the right people talking to each other is pretty much what they do every day.
A few of the team will be out on the route alongside the run leaders from The Run Collective, and they've promised to leave any competitive streak at home.
Carry on the conversation on stand C12, and catch their session on the MarTech & Growth Stage at 10:00 on Wednesday 11 November.

The run leaders on the morning are coming from The Run Collective, so you're in safe hands from the warm-up to the finish. That leaves you free to concentrate on the conversation rather than the route.
England Athletics qualified leaders out with both the run and the walk.
Fully insured, risk assessed and signed off with Excel London.
50 runners and 20 walkers, so there's always a leader close by.
Hannah has been part of the events industry for a long time and set up The Run Collective to bring two of her favourite things together. She'll be at The Crystal on the morning with her team of leaders.
The Run Collective creates corporate running experiences around the world, bringing people together through managed events, branded runs and workplace run clubs, all delivered by a trusted network of qualified coaches.
